College Goal Sunday

Iowa students can get free assistance with the form required for federal financial aid at Iowa College Goal Sunday each February.

Volunteers for Iowa College Goal Sunday help students and their families fill out and file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as part of a national program that helps students qualify for federal financial aid. The FAFSA, which is a free form available in paper and electronic forms from the U.S. Department of Education, is the first step in the qualification process.

We thank all the participants and volunteers in 2009's College Goal Sunday, and look forward to an even bigger event in 2010.

Governor Chet Culver signs the College Goal Sunday proclamation. Members of the planning committee joined the governor for the event.
