(At left, former Iowa Dollars for Scholars Board Member John Carver presents the award to Chapter President Julie Rotach.) This award recognizes the chapter for exemplifying the commitment of Dollars for Scholars to ensuring all students have access to postsecondary education. Allamakee Dollars for Scholars was established on March 29, 1993. During that year the chapter awarded $6,000 to 20 students.  Since its humble beginning, more than 1,000 local students have been awarded over $545,000 in scholarships.  This year the chapter awarded $56,075 to 85 students.
